Minutes

 

President Kathy Jones opened the meeting at noon, March 6, 2009 in the Lib. Community Room. Those in attendance were Maggi Buttrell, Nancy Snyder, Geneva Price, Sue Tooley, Dale Garrett, and Jacque Scott.

 

  1. Minutes from the February 2009 approved.

 

  1. Treasurer’s Report reflects PrimeVest account has been closed and monies transferred to the checking account. Current checking account balance is $4,091.22. The Soup and Bread luncheon cleared $502.91.

 

  1. Kate has spent $360 on How To Books and has requested $140 for new gardening books. FOL will release $500 of the grant money to spend on new knitting and the Montana section books.

 

  1. Office 2007 and Encarta for each computer station has been purchased through Tech Soup, at a very substantial savings. Though Tech Soup, each unit costs $20, rather than the $300+ regular price. The Encarta includes encyclopedias and dictionaries.

 

  1. Huntley Project needs money due to donations of incomplete sets of books. These are incomplete according to author. Dale moved, Nancy seconded, to send $300 to Huntley Project Library for books to complete sets as needed.

 

  1. American Legion has not set dedication date as of yet.

 

  1. Annual Meeting and Book Sale opening will be Wednesday April 15. Book sale will continue through Friday, April 17. Set up will be on April 14. An AD will be placed in the newspaper announcing the sale and meeting.

 

  1. March 21 (Saturday) the FOL will host the S. Central MT Lib. Federation luncheon. Kate will be reimbursed for expenditures associated with the Luncheon plus mileage. Breads, cookies, and bar cookies have already been donated.

 

Meeting was adjourned at 12:35 p.m.

 

The next FOL meeting will be the annual meeting on Wednesday, April 15.
