Minutes

February 6, 2009

President Kathy Jones called the meeting to order at noon. In attendance were Sue Tooley, Beccy Oberly, Nancy Snyder, Dale Garrett, Maggi Buttrell, and Jacque Scott.

Beccy moved, Nancy seconded, and all ayes carried approval of January, 2009 Minutes.

Treasurer’s Report: Current Balance is $3,028.00 which includes the $1,000 grant from the Santa Cruz Community Fund. Nancy reported the $600 is still in the PrimeVest account.

Nancy moved, Beccy seconded, to close the PrimeVest account. These funds will used to purchase audio books for the Library. All ayes carried the motion.

Beccy moved, Nancy seconded, to give $500 of the SCCF grant to Kate to purchase ‘How To’ books and to add to the Montana Collection. All ayes carried the motion.

The Federation meeting is scheduled for March 21, 2009. Dale moved, Nancy seconded, for FOL to host a “build your own salad” luncheon with bread, dessert, and beverage. All ayes carried.

Other Discussions: A Best of the Rest recipe collection to be gathered and sold (possibly at the Bazaar).

Huntley Project – Kathy will call the librarian at the school to see if books are still needed, and if so, what types. She will report on this at the March FOL meeting.

World War II Books – Kathy will call the American Legion to set a dedication date and time for their presentation. The WWII books (which were donated) would be displayed and dedicated.

Soup Luncheon – Set time will be February 17, at 4:00 p.m.

Beccy moved for adjournment. Meeting closed at 12:35 p.m.
