Minutes

President Kathy Jones called the meeting to order at 12:05 p.m. In attendance were Kathy Jones, Beccy Oberly, Nancy Snyder, Susie Mosness, Maggi Buttrell, Mary Lou Gasienica, Dale Garrett, and Jacque Scott.

Minutes from the October meeting were read. Nancy moved and Beccy seconded to accept the minutes as read. All ayes carried.

Nancy gave the Treasurer’s Report. As of October 31, 2008, the checking account balance was $1,541.99. There is still approximately $500 in the PrimeVest account.

Nancy has brought in Christmas tree lights for the Library to use in decorations.

Prices were set on some of the items for the Women’s Club Bazaar. The Paper Whites will sell for $10 (small) and $12 (large). Book bags will be sold for $10 each, and books for $1.00 each. Cookbooks are sold by donations only.

Two upcoming events are Book Club Dinner in January, and Soup and Bread Luncheon in February. These will be discussed at the December FOL meeting.

Beccy will get an update on the shipment of the WWII books that have been donated. Jacque reported receiving donations of art books and other books also. Nancy and Susie will ask some of their friends about selling some of the book on EBay. A percentage of the sales could be given to help offset time and shipping costs.

Beccy will officiate at the December meeting, as Kathy will be out of state.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:40 p.m. Members who could stay to help in prep for the Bazaar did so.

The next FOL meeting will be at noon, December 5, 2008, in the Community Meeting Room of the BT Carnegie Library.
