Minutes of September 03, 2010 Meeting

Attending: Maggi Buttrell, Nancy Snyder, Nancy Bruce, Cindy Rache, Mary Lou Gasienica, Kathy Jones, Negel O’ Conner, Sue Tooley, Dale Garrett, Jacque Scott

President Kathy Jones called the meeting to order at 12:10 p.m. Cindy moved, Mary Lou seconded to approve the minutes of the last meeting (May, 2010). All ayes carried the motion.

1. The Montana Community Foundation awarded FOL a $4,000 grant. The current check account balance (as of May 30, 2010) is $6,212.96.
2. Plaques honoring past librarians and memorial plaques are still in process.
3. Mailing lists will be updated in time for December mailing.
4. C-Sharps made the trash receptacle that is now in place near the picnic table.
5. 65 people attended summer Reading Program end of summer party.
6. Face Painting during the Memorial Day celebration was a success.
7. Furniture for the Teen Reading Area has been ordered.
8. A memorial for Desta Myers, for $175, has been received. No designation on how the money was to be used was given. The family will be contacted to see what their wishes are.
9. Cookbooks and flower bulbs will be sold at the Christmas Bazaar. FOL may do sales of pasta from a company in Washington that sells homemade pastas.

Meeting was adjourned at 1:00 P.M. The next FOL meeting will be held Friday,

October 1, 2010 at noon, in the Community Meeting Room of the Big Timber Library.
