Minutes

October 3, 2008

 

 

President Kathy Jones called the meeting to order at 12:05 p.m. In attendance were Mary Lou Gasienica, Nancy Snyder, Sue Tooley, and Dale Garrett.

 

Minutes were read and approved.

 

Treasurer’s Report:  $2016.14 is the checking account balance as of 10/03/08.

 

Old Business:

  Kate has found room for the World War II books being offered by Beccy Oberly’s friend. They are working getting the books shipped to Big Timber.

  Poinsettias cannot be shipped until after the Women’s Bazaar. Mary Lou and Kathy have herbs growing. Books, cookbooks, book bags with books, and wooden roses only with the herbs will be sold.

 

 New Business:

  Kathy has talked with Pam Roberts, Huntley Project school head librarian. They are in need of boos from pre-school through grade twelve. They will take any suitable books in reasonable condition. Huntley Project lost their school because of fire. Dale moved and Mary Lou seconded to send whatever books we can to help restock the Huntley School library. All ayes carried. Books will be sent in November.

  Kate and Jacque have requested FOL purchase a Christmas tree (live) for the Library and help with decorating. Small stockings are needed for children to put their names on and will be hung up. Mary Lou moved and Dale seconded for FOL to purchase the tree, and help with decorations and decorating. All ayes carried.

 

Nancy moved the meeting to be adjourned at 12:35 p.m. The next meeting will be held on Friday, November 7, 2008. This will be an organizational meeting in prep for the Bazaar.
