The intent of the purchase was to enable the members of the Board to become familiar with the new audio-downloadable book program sponsored by the Montana State Library through Overdrive.  The Board reported various advertising they had accomplished with several different people.  It was suggested that the library’s website address be added to the MontanaLibrary2Go brochure.

Carnegie Capital Resource Fund Annual Mailing:  Chair Agnew produced a sample letter to be mailed out to library supporters.  She asked for feedback concerning the wording and content of the letter which was provided by the Board.  It was decided that the letter would be sent by November 12, 2009.  The FOL and Board members will be recruited for envelope stuffing.

Display Cabinet:  Lewis asked permission from the Board to accept a display cabinet for the downstairs lobby from the FOL.  Dale Garrett moved to accept the gift, Betty Streeter seconded the motion.  The cabinet will be purchased with funds donated in memory of BTGS teacher Teck Brown and will display a memorial plaque in her name.

FOL Appreciation Dinner:  Lewis asked the Board for help with an appreciation dinner to be given on or around October 28 for the Friends of the Library.  Board members agreed to confirm their availability for that date.
